Spar Superstars SLS 2025

CALE Maas is a Grade 6 learner who is being recognised for being the first person to cross the finish line at this year’s Walk in the Wild event by the Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife. Cale embarked on a 5km walk/run through the nature reserve
and outran 621 participants.

GRADE 4 learner Ethan Valayathum is being nominated after winning gold at the annual regional Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Championships that were held recently. Ethan beat 190 other learners to emerge as the top learner in just three minutes.

SHRADDHA Rambehary is a Grade 7 learner who is being nominated for her excellence in academics.
She recently competed in an EMS quiz and scored over 75% for
the competition.
The learner was also awarded
an academics badge.

ANNALEIGH Moodley is a Grade 6 learner who is being nominated after placing third at the eThekwini Municipality inter-district spelling bee final.
The wordsmith started her
spelling bee journey in
Grade 4 and has worked
on it ever since.

BANDILE Mgobhozi, a Grade 9 talented young player recently represented the Durban School soccer team in the prestigious Eastern Cup Tournament during the October holidays. Bandile played nine games, scoring two goals.
Although the team didn’t
emerge victorious.

CHLOÉ Jafta is a Grade 12 learner. She recently completed in the Netwerk 24 Creative Writing Competition after her work was submitted by her teacher who had faith in her Afrikaans writing abilities. Chloé was able to secure first place on her essay.

GRADE 12 learner, Lizwi Zondi is a soccer fanatic. He was selected to participate in the soccer trials of the Golden Arrows. He believes in hard work and dedication. He urged his fellow learners to focus on their studies in order to accomplish their goals.

KEIRA Donnae Gow is a Grade 12 learner. She is simply a kind hearted young individual. She has a passion for senior citizens always assisting them at shopping malls, wanting to carry their packets. She also has a passion for baking and taking care of animals.
