BRT buses still not operating
Commuters may still be stranded later today as they make their way home.
Rea Vaya spokesperson Benny Makgoga says bus drivers are still not operating today as a result of the strike that commenced yesterday.
Makgoga says they’re expecting Pioneer Transport (Piotrans) to engage with the employees some time today.
“We hope for Piotrans to engage with the drivers and possibly reach an agreement as quickly as possible so our drivers can get back to work,” he said.
Bus commuters had to use taxis today due to this unexpected strike.
