Bok coach wields axe

Coach Heyneke Meyer wielded the axe this morning as he made a whopping six changes to the Springbok side for this weekend's Wallaby Test in Perth.

Out goes hooker Bismarck du Plessis, lock Lood de Jager, flyhalf Handre Pollard and centre Damian de Allende as veterans Morne Steyn and Victor Matfield are recalled.

Wing Bryan Habana will become the fourth Bok to play in 100 Test matches, following in the wake of Percy Montgomery, the first, Matfield and former skipper John Smit.
