Whiteley replaces Willie Britz, who moves to the bench, while Whiteley takes over the captaincy from centre Lionel Mapoe.

Coach Johan Ackermann, who named three changes to the side who went down 26-23 to the Sharks last weekend in Durban, has called up Derick Minnie from the bench and he will start at flank replacing Warwick Tecklenburg, who drops to the substitutes.

Meanwhile, in the backline, former Griquas midfielder Howard Mnisi will get a start at inside centre, replacing the injured Stokkies Hanekom, who was ruled out for the season with a broken leg, while Under-21 centre Harold Vorster will provide cover off the bench.

Marnitz Boshoff will remain at fullback in place of Andries Coetzee, who is on the sidelines for two weeks with a groin strain.

The match will kick-off at 3pm.
