Orlando Pirates skipper Oupa Manyisa says new coach Muhsin Ertugral wants them to work as a unit and he can’t wait for the new season to begin after spending the entire of last week in pre-season camp with the new coach in Potchefstroom, North West.

“He wants us to be organised and play as a team, work as a unit, be patient in approach and believe in our talent as a unit. There is no room for individualism, as coach Muhsin puts it, we win as a team and we lose as a team. Whether we are attacking or defending it doesn’t matter, he wants us to fight as a team,” Manyisa was quoted on the club’s website.

“Well he is definitely a good coach. I am happy with what he wants and all the players are adjusting to his coaching methods as well. You know we camped for a whole week and it’s all sinking in which is why I can’t wait for the start of the new season.”

Having spent months out on the side-lines due to an ankle injury, the skipper is now fully fit and his long awaited come-back will be on his 28th birthday during the Carling Champion Cup pre-season friendly match with arch-rivals kaizer at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.
