Sono praised Pirates for their continental achievements of late, and said they are the best team in Southern Africa.

The last time the teams met, Cosmos were routed 5-0, but Sono said he would not be shocked if Pirates gave tehm the same beating on Sunday.

“You don’t need to remind us of what happened the last time we played against Pirates,” mocked Sono.

“For me, Pirates is the best team in the country, and I mean that from the bottom of my heart. This Pirates team have too many good players…

“We lose 1-0, it’s not a surprise. We lose 5-0, it’s not a shock,’’ said the Cosmos owner and coach.
