Khama Billiat might have not found the back of the net in Mamelodi Sundowns 3-1 win over Polokwane City on Wednesday night, but the Zimbabwean was instrumental during the match, setting up two goals for Leonardo Castro, while Keagan Dolly's solo effort on the left side wrapped up the match.

But it was a tough battle, which saw Downs struggling to find their feet in the first 30 minutes of the game.

“That was one of the toughest game for us, Polokwane is a very good side they know how to play football. And they made it difficult for us to keep the shape because they can find spaces even if it is difficult. But credit to the team, we sticked to the game plan,” said Billiat after being named man-of-the-match..

“They were tough, but thank God I’m standing here now. My teammates kept on pushing me telling me that they need me as much as we need each other.”

Billiat added that club’s supporters are the reason why they strive to do well in every match.

“The supporters have been vital for us, even when things weren’t okay on our side. But they kept on pushing us and makes us feel that we deserve better, which is a good motivation for us.”

The Brazilians next game will be up against Jomo Cosmos at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday.
