Mamelodi Sundowns pair Keagan Dolly and Khama Billiat revealed that they had voted for Bidvest Wits winger Daine Klate for Players Player of the season award at the Absa Premiership award nominees held at PSL headquarters in Parktown on Monday.

However, Klate could not make the cut as he was beaten by both Dolly and Billiat in that category, which is voted for by every PSL player in all the 16 clubs in the league, but players are not eligible to vote for their club teammates.

The Wits winger, has enjoyed quite a sterling season with Gavin Hunt’s team which saw them become title contenders at some point during the campaign, but lost the race to league Champions Mamelodi Sundowns and eventually finishing second in the log standings.

Klate is Wits top scorer with 12 goals and 15 assists to his name in all competitions this season.
