Kings promoted to the NFD

Kwa-Zulu Natal ABC Motsepe league champions Kings United have earned themselves promotion to the National First Division (NFD) after beating Tornado FC from the Eastern Cape by 2-1 at the Kaizer Sebothelo Stadium in Botshabelo on Friday.

Kings wrapped up their play-offs campaign on top of Group A with 10 points. The KZN outfit recorded three wins, one draw without losing any of their four matches.

In their first game, Kings recorded 4-3 victory over Steenburg United, which was followed by 2-2 draw with Apollo XI and a 1-0 victory over Orbit College FC.

Kings were tightly contesting the top spot with second placed Steenburg United, who finished the play-offs with a 2-0 victory over Orbit College at Dr P Molemela Stadium.

The victory for United saw them lose out on promotion with only one points as they finished second with nine points in the bag.
