The feud between National First Division team, Royal Eagles and former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper, Philani Zikalala has ended with the latter promised his dues before the end of this week.

A Phakaaathi source has revealed that Zikalala is happy that the matter has been put to rest. “Although he is sad to leave the team, he is happy that his dues will be paid out to him,” said the source.

Zikalala had his contract with Eagles terminated last week but the team initially refused to pay him his full package. He still had two years left on his deal.

“It was the managers who were refusing. I think they were worried that their bosses would be unhappy with the spending,” added the source.

But club owner, Shaun Mpisane engaged Zikalala and the matter was solved as she promised to pay him his dues before the end of this week.
