Fransman expects tough battle against Pirates

Maritzburg United defender Bevan Fransman expects Orlando Pirates to play on the front foot with the midweek result fresh in their minds.

“Well, Pirates are obviously confident after defeating Ajax in their previous league match in midweek. It was a good result for them and it is also a confidence booster for them,” told the PSL website.

“We always look forward to such matches. Our matches against Pirates at home are always interesting and exciting.

“We will be ready for them. We have a few things that we need to work on before the game. It’s a big match for us.”

Although it is early in the season to talk about leading the Absa Premiership table, both United and Pirates will want to reach the 10-point mark first this season.
