Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has been accused of trying to protect certain players in the wake of a partying scandal which led to a heated feud between players in Durban earlier this month.

Phakaaathi Plus reported two weeks ago that an argument ensued in the Bafana camp after some players organised a party in their hotel room and allegedly invited women.

A source close to the issue said Baxter was going about handling the matter the wrong way.

“It is clear that he is trying to protect certain individuals but this could lead to accusations of favouritism on his part. If he was to deal with the matter he should not try to protect the culprits and make an example of them,” said the source.

It is alleged that Keagan Dolly and Bongani Zungu got into an argument after the former was unimpressed with the party taking place in the latter’s room.
