As Mamelodi Sundowns prepare for Saturday night’s Tshwane derby against SuperSport, Brazilians coach Pitso Mosimane says he would like to win the Telkom Knockout trophy.

The Brazilians reached their second semi-final of the Telkom Knockout by beating Free State Stars in Bethlehem.

“The Telkom knockout cup is important to us, when I first came here (Sundowns) we went to the final, last year we lost in the semi-final. This cup has been drifting away from us, so we must try and bring it closer to us. It’s important for the confidence of the team and the supporters.”

Sundowns have won the league title and Nedbank Cup since Mosimane took over the head coaching job from Johan Neeskens in 2012.
