South Africa's Under 23 midfielder Keagan Dolly has stressed the importance of winning their final Group A match against Tunisia on Friday.

Owen Da Gama’s men beat Zambia on Wednesday to ease the pressure created by the 3-2 defeat against hosts Senegal over the weekend.

South Africa and Tunisia are tied at three points each, with AmaGlug-Glug in second place above Tunisia with a better goal difference.

A win against Tunisia on Friday will see Dolly and his teammates advance to the semi-final of the tournament. Dolly believes that their preparations for the final game match will see them go through.

“I told the boys we shouldn’t focus on our opponent, we should focus on ourselves and try to go out there and win because this is a tournament and you will never know what is going to happen. We should go there with a winning mentality.

“We can’t go there for a draw, we want to win. It is a tournament and you are never safe, the only way to make sure is to win.”
