Kaizer Chiefs’ hard tackling midfielder Willard Katsande trusts that coach Steve Komphela's tactics will help Amakhosi beat Mamelodi Sundowns in the Telkom knockout final.

Chiefs square off against Pitso Mosimane’s charges on Wednesday night for the Telkom Knockout crown. Chiefs have an impressive record in this tournament and an even more impressive track record against the Brazilians in cup finals.

Katsande believes that the experience in their ranks will play a vital role in getting them over the finish line on Wednesday night in Durban. Their mission on the day is to assist Siphiwe Tshabalala lift his first trophy as captain and to deliver the first silverware for Steve Komphela.

“We need to pay attention to coach’s tactics, yes both teams have new captains, but it goes back to the normal things, they are also players as you can see our captain (Tshabalala) has a lot of experience in cup finals. So I think we just need to support him and try to help him lift his first trophy,” said Katsande.
