Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is hoping for a prompt recovery from clinching the Telkom Knockout Cup on Wednesday night as the Brazilians prepare to take on Orlando Pirates in an Absa Premiership encounter.

Sundowns overpowered Kaizer Chiefs on Wednesday night at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, where Mosimane’s men managed to put three goals past Brilliant Khuzwayo.

“We have little time to regroup,” the Sundowns coach said.

“We have another important game against Pirates and I told the guys they deserved to party (after the midweek cup win), but they need to do it responsibly.”

Mosimane is aware of the threat posed by Pirates ahead of their clash on Saturday evening.

The former Bafana Bafana coach has studied the Buccaneers carefully and has an idea of what to expect when they host the Soweto side at the Loftus Stadium.

“We’re playing a team that has one of the best attacks in the country. It’s an important game and one you have to take seriously if you want to challenge.”
