Having watched his team succumb to a 2-1 loss against lowly Chippa United in his first game in charge, new Bloemfontein Celtic coach, Serame Letsoaka is positive of a win against Ajax Cape Town on Friday night.

Letsoaka had just had a little over a week to work with his charges before the Chippa game on December 18 after taking over from Clinton Larsen at Phunya Selesele and could do nothing as a resurgent Chilli Boys ran rings around his boys.

But now the former Golden Arrows mentor has had ample time to work with his team and is confident they can come back from Cape Town with a win.

“Our game against Chippa United was a bit complicated because I was completely new to most of the players,” said Letsoaka this week.

“I have had a bit of time to spend with them and I am gradually introducing my philosophy. We are wary of the record and Ajax’s orderly style of play, especially at night. (But)Together with my team, we have made proper research and we are confident that we will get positive results.”

Letsoaka added that he expects a tough game from Ajax who themselves need all the points they can get to move up from the 11th position they are currently in. Celtic are seventh on the log with 16 points from 13 games.

“Although it won’t be an easy game, we have sufficient depth to win it. We have to win it at all costs,” said Letsoaka.
