Nedbank ke Yona team graduate Ian Chikohwa expressed having made his debut for the University of Pretoria in the Pretoria derby which they lost to SuperSport United 2-0 at Loftus Versveld last Sunday.

“It felt unreal when I made my debut for the club. What made it even more special was the fact that it was a Tshwane derby against one of the most respected clubs in the country. Even though the result did not go our way, it was not a true reflection of the game. I thank Nedbank for making this dream a reality,” said Chikohwa.

Chikohwa, who was the captain of the 2015 Ke Yona team, had a month long trial with the Pretoria outfit last year before signing a three year contract deal with the club.

Tuks next fixture is against Bidvest Wits at Bidvest Stadium on Friday.
