City Hall Sessions return

The acclaimed City Hall Sessions music series returns to City Hall with a New Africa Re-Connection Showcase this Sunday.

Coinciding with the African Creative Economy Conference which takes place in the City from 06 – 09 October, the showcase presents an array of entrepreneurial new African voices, who follow in the steps of the continent’s established names, and are making impact in the region, and globally.

The concert takes place in the iconic Cape Town City Hall following the opening cocktail and welcome keynote address of the conference. It is the ninth concert in the City Hall Sessions and for most; the appearance on the City Hall stage will be their first at the iconic venue.

With an emphasis on voice rather than instrumentals, the showcase includes Munit and Jorg, a vocal and guitar duo from Ethiopia, rapper Didier Awadi from Senegal, singer Stewart Sukuma from Mozambique, and Cape Town vocalist Sakhile Moleshe.

Singer Stewart Sukuma from Mozambique and Cape Town’s vocalist Sakhile Moleshe will bring a South African touch.

As it marks its ninth concert, City Hall Sessions continues to play a cultural role introducing new sounds to local audiences.

City Hall Sessions is presented by Creative Cape Town. Tickets are on sale now.
