Opel Combo Life 5-seater confirmed for South Africa

Opel to introduce a people carrier derivative to the Combo Life range.

Now with windows all around, the Multi-Purpose-Vehicle also comes with colour coded bumpers, door handles and side mirrors. At the rear of the vehicle, you will also find an upward opening door and window section while on both sides of the vehicle you will find sliding doors.

The Rüsselsheim-based automaker added rear passenger seats with a 60/40 split configuration and when folded flat will increase loading capacity to 690 kg. The 5-seater has a towing capacity of 1100 kg braked and 720 kg unbraked. On the interior we also find a touchscreen IntelliLink infotainment system and cruise control fitted.

The powertrain comes in the shape of a 1.6-litre turbo diesel, producing 68kW and 230 N.m of torque. Unitrans claims combined fuel consumption of 5 L/100 km with the Combo Life.

Pricing will be released closer to the launch date in the third quarter of 2019.
