JOHANNESBURG — Bloemfontein Celtic are planning a mass overhaul of their squad, with coach Clinton Larsen revealing that no fewer than 10 players will be shown the door in the off-season.
Phunya Sele Sele have already seen Thokozani Mshengu and Prince Hlela depart for Wits and AmaZulu respectively, while the highly rated pair of Erick Mathoho and Clifford Mulenga have also been tipped with a move away from the City of Roses.
“We will probably have as many as 10 players leave the team in the close-season so we will have quite a big overhaul of the squad,” Larsen said. Larsen went on to reveal that Celtic will be making moves to strengthen their squad, with the coach currently in talks with various clubs over potential transfers.
He added: “The management is working hard to bring in new faces and have engaged with a number of other PSL clubs over their players. We should know more about who we will be joining us in the next few weeks.”
