Seen discussing the parking arrangements for the Coca Cola KFC Concert in the Park, which takes place at the Pietermaritzburg Botanical Gardens next Sunday, are (from left) Brian Zuma (marketing manager, City of Pietermaritzburg), Chris Hodgkins (producer of the event), Brian Tarr (curator of the Gardens) and Kelvin Abrahams (area manager, KFC). Parking will be available in the gardens, on the outside fields and in the areas surrounding the gardens. This year’s concert is the biggest yet and features some 180 performers. The KZN Philaharmonic will perform under the baton of Russian-born Naum Rousine and will accompany SA’s top three tenors, Jannie Moolman, Dewald von Solms and Stefan Louw. The contemporary section features Tim Moloi and Crystal Tryon. The PMB Girls’ High Wind Band will take to the stage at noon and will be followed by the cast from the hit show Nashville. The Caledonian Pipe Band will also perform with the orchestra. Tickets cost R85 for adults, R75 for pensioners and R35 for children aged 4 to 16. To book, contact Pearl at 033 342 4512.
