EVEN if you don’t have a ticket to a Confederations Cup match, don’t despair — go down to Pietermaritzburg’s Qokololo Stadium in Edendale and watch the game on a special big screen with crowds of other fans.

The KZN Economic Development and Tourism Department will host public viewing areas in four districts in the province to give the people of KZN a taste of the Confederations Cup fever, because Durban is not hosting any matches.

“We want people to have a sense of what 2010 is all about, no matter where they are,’’ said MEC Mike Mabuyakhulu. He added that he will be at Qokololo for the opening match.

Gates will open at 9 am and entrance is free. There will be entertainment by local artists, and live broadcasts by leading radio stations and DJs. — WR.
