GREYTOWN police have about 1 000 firearm licence cards ready for collection.

Members of the public from Wartburg, Harburg, Ematimatolo, Mapumulo, Muden, New Hanover, Nsuze, Kranskop, Rietvlei and Greytown, who applied for licences at the Greytown SAPS Firearm Centre and have not collected their certificates or licences, should call the SAPS designated firearm officer at 033 413 9003/67.

They can also visit the firearm offices at Room 29 and 30, SAPS Greytown, between 7.30 am and 4 pm, Monday to Friday, with their identity documents and old firearm licences.

Alternatively, they can e-mail greytowndfo@saps.gov.za to verify if their new licences are ready for collection.

Applicants who applied in 2007 are required to renew their competency certificates as the period of five years expires in December 2012.
