THE family of a missing 14-year-old Durban girl suspect that she may have been picked up by a Facebook friend.

Kaylene Lewis, a Danville High School pupil, was last seen at her father’s house in Glenhills on Saturday night and left between midnight and 6 am on Sunday morning.

Her father, Quinton Lewis, told The Witness that she had never gone out without telling him where she was going. One of her friends said they last saw her at a house party,” Lewis said.

She had not been seen since.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Vincent Mdunge confirmed that the family reported their daughter missing at the Durban North police station.

He appealed to anyone with information on Kaylene’s whereabouts to call Warrant Officer Vis Moodley of Durban North SA Police Service at
