IT was a quiet weekend for club cricket in Midlands Premier League when two games were abandoned without a ball being bowled, and one game was rescheduled due to Varsity taking part in the university’s week in Potchefstroom.

Masibemunye were due to host Zingari while Standard were to travel to Lancashire. Both games were called off.

The game between Varsity and Northern Combined has been rescheduled for March 2 as the boys from UKZN are currently in Potchefstroom.

Young Natalians received a walkover due to Midlands’ withdrawal from the competition.
