THE calf that was a victim of a malicious attack on Sunday night at the Royal Show is said to be recovering. “She’s much much better. She’s standing up on her own and suckling from her mother,” said owner Neil Haines’s wife Janet. “She hasn’t died, so we’re quite happy about that.”...

THE calf that was a victim of a malicious attack on Sunday night at the Royal Show is said to be recovering. “She’s much much better. She’s standing up on her own and suckling from her mother,” said owner Neil Haines’s wife Janet. “She hasn’t died, so we’re quite happy about that.”

The calf was seriously when someone stuck a piece of metal in its genitals.

Trevor Bauer, the manager of Van Farms, said a charge of malicious damage to property has been laid at Loop Street police station.
