Residents of Mooi River will experience double load-shedding, scheduled by the municipality and Eskom.
A statement released by Mpofana Municipality said it will be introducing double load shedding due to the high usage of electricity in the area.
The municipality said it had engagement with Eskom and the outcome was for the municipality to apply local load shedding for the duration of two hours in the morning and another two hours in the afternoon.

This is being carried out as there are problems with the Eskom transformer supplying the town with electricity.
The load on it is too heavy and should load shedding not be implemented, greater problems will be faced if the transformer blows up, added the municipality.
Eskom is currently implementing stage 4 load shedding.
