Teaching and learning have been disrupted at Tetelegu Primary School in Mpumuza, Pietermaritzburg, due to a parents’ protest.

Teaching and learning have been disrupted at Tetelegu Primary School in Mpumuza, Pietermaritzburg, due to a parents’ protest.

Angry parents have locked the school gates and they are burning tyres outside the school gate.

They are demanding the Education Department to absorb two grade R teachers to the mainstream with immediate effect.

They are also demanding proper roofing for the entire school.

Teachers have been left stranded outside the school gate.

The parents then moved to a nearby high school, Laduma, where they also disrupted teaching and learning.
