A shop owner said he was accosted by four men driving a white Toyota Avanza. He said they threatened him with firearms and fired a shot at the lock of his tuck shop.

Two suspects were arrested in Imbali Unit 2 after a high-speed chase by the police on Wednesday night.

According to a statement released by warrant officer Pancheal Singh of Mountain Rise Police Station, the arrest was in connection with a business robbery.

He said the complainant, a Lesotho national, said that he was accosted by four men driving a white Toyota Avanza with no registration plates. He said they threatened him with firearms and fired a shot at the lock of his tuck shop.

The suspects then helped themselves to several items from the tuck shop and took cash to the value of about R10 000, he said. They fled the scene without injuring anyone around.
