Woman’s half-naked body found under a bridge in KZN

A rock covered in blood was found next to the woman's body.

An off-duty Reaction Unit South Africa found a woman's half-naked body near the railway line in Tongaat.

A woman’s half-naked body was discovered by an off-duty member of the Reaction Unit South Africa (Rusa) next to a railway line under a bridge on Gopalall Hurbans Road, Tongaat in the northern KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday.

According to Rusa, the woman’s body had blunt force injuries on her head and face.

“A rock covered in blood as well as the deceased’s clothing and an emptied wallet were recovered near her body. The woman is believed to have been raped however this could not be immediately confirmed,” said RUSA spokesperson, Prem Balram.
