The views and sentiments of The Witness editorial and that of a correspondent on the ongoing Covid-19 threat are appreciated and shared.
Perhaps the following thoughts could be added to those already articulated.
As we move into winter and a third wave of the pandemic is predicted, one hopes that our authorities have been proactive and are preparing for a worst-case scenario if the predictions are realised.
It may also be wise to put on hold, large gatherings, elections or any other activities that tend to attract crowds, until the threat of the third wave has passed.
As it has been said, uncontrolled outbreaks anywhere pose a threat everywhere.
We are in the end, one world, one humanity.
As individuals we must also respect the cardinal advice for not contracting the virus. Let this winter not become the winter of our despair.
