Donations aid local community centre

Generous donation helps rural community centre through holiday season

GENEROUS contributions of food, clothes and toys will help Mandlazini’s Mqedi Community Centre care for the many disadvantaged women and children in the area this season.

In the spirit of the 16 Days of Activism campaign against the abuse of women and children, LifeLine together with the Richards Bay SAPS and the Richards Bay Airport handed over much appreciated donations to the centre’s happy staff and excited crèche children.

The centre, built by BHP Billiton, consists of a sewing room, kitchen, bakery, classroom and crèche to help dress, feed and care for orphans as well as creating sustainable work for women in dire need.

To donate toys, food or clothing to the centre, contact Nomzamo Buthelezi on 078 3430697
