A fourth person has died after a bakkie crash on the R66 near Ulundi yesterday.
A FOURTH person has died following a bakkie crash on the R66 near Ulundi yesterday morning.
Three people died on the scene, while the fourth died on the way to hospital.
According to KZN EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie paramedics received the call at around 11am on Monday.
‘KZN Emergency Medical Services paramedics, together with paramedics from a local private ambulance service responded to the crash and found that a bakkie had left the road and overturned down a small bushy embankment,’ he said.
‘Paramedics worked frantically to treat the 10 surviving patients, one of whom was a small child, three of the patients were critically injured, while seven others had sustained injuries which were serious in nature.’
The exact cause of the crash is unknown at this stage.
