CONFLICT between predators is not uncommon, with lion often showing their dominance.
This appears to be the case after a dead leopard was found in the iMfolozi Game Reserve.
The leopard appears to have been malnourished and could possibly have attempted to interfere with a lion’s meal.
Lions are known to pick fights with cheetah, wild dogs and hyenas, mostly over prey.
Park officials are investigating the incident.
