I wish to state that I do not have any account on any social media platform, including Facebook,” he said.

Khumalo believes someone is impersonating him on Facebook.

“The account is being used without my consent, therefore any information from this account should be regarded as false or fake,” he said.

Khumalo further explained that his official communication is shared through verified and recognised municipal channels only.

“We urge the public to remain vigilant and not to respond to any request from this account,” he said.
