Reiger Park shooting leaves 38-year-old man dead

The SAPS has launched a full-scale investigation into the incident, and Constable Msimanga is urging anyone with information about the suspect or the shooting to come forward.

Reiger Park SAPS is on the hunt for a suspect who killed a 38-year-old man in a shooting incident on May 4.

According to Constable Johannes Msimanga, the deceased, identified as Clint Campbell, was shot multiple times in the head near the corner of John Collins Street and Leon Ferreira Drive at around 22:10.

“The victim was walking down the street when the suspect approached him and opened fire.

“Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots, and the victim was found lying on the ground, unresponsive.

Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, but he was pronounced dead upon their arrival,” said Msimanga.

The SAPS has launched a full-scale investigation into the incident.

Constable Msimanga is urging anyone with information about the suspect or the shooting to come forward.
