IPSS Security: A trusted name in community safety

After winning for two consecutive years, IPSS Security has once again been nominated in The Best of Ballito competition.

IPSS Security has consistently demonstrated leadership and excellence in the security industry, earning the trust of clients and distinguishing itself as a leading provider of comprehensive security services for the North Coast.

This was evident with their win of Best Security Company in The North Coast Courier’s Best of Ballito Readers’ Choice Awards for the last two years.

The company has once again been nominated in this category for 2024.

IPSS Security CEO, Frank Labidi, started the Salt Rock Neighbourhood Watch over 22 years ago with a single goal in mind – make our community as safe as possible.

After only three months, Umhlali Saps reported that these efforts helped reduce crime by an impressive 85%. Labidi took his passion to the next level with the purchase of IPSS Security.

He knew that with these resources as well as the expertise of Brennon Knott, COO of IPSS Security, they could make their dream of a safer community a reality.

The company firmly believes in putting the community first and remains dedicated to fostering safe and secure environments.

In line with its commitment to a safer community, IPSS Security leads the way with cutting-edge security solutions.

They boast a fleet of over 25 vehicles and the most advanced control room in KwaZulu-Natal (if not the country) with more than R2-million invested into Artificial Intelligence-software. The total investment – including the camera network- is more than R5-million.

Leading the charge in the vehicle department is their armoured tactical intervention unit, a real beast of a vehicle, that provides public protection during incidents of civil unrest.

The air support unit chopper is available for additional support during emergencies, such as land invasions, car jackings and protecting estates against potential breeches.

As their control room is based in the heart of Ballito their offsite monitoring is stable, accurate, reliable and effective and presently the company has over 250 cameras spread throughout Ballito and Salt Rock.

Several major estates also entrust their offsite monitoring of their CCTV cameras to IPSS Security, with 600 cameras under their watchful eye.

“We have emerged as the most significant privately-owned security company on the Dolphin Coast and have been seeing to the protection of the community we serve since 2001,” said Labidi
