POLOKWANE – Esnath Hove, a passionate preschool teacher at Little Stars, is a popular teacher with her creative and hands-on teaching style. Her fun and interactive approach is capturing the attention of young learners – and their parents too.
In her classroom, learning feels more like play. Her little stars sing songs about animals, body parts, numbers, and seasons. They dive into arts and crafts, enjoy puzzles, and use colouring books and drawing activities to boost creativity and thinking skills. It’s all designed to make big ideas easy and fun for tiny learners.
“It’s best to teach them while they’re still young. They pick things up so much easier as they grow,” she told Review. For her, building a strong foundation early on is the key to helping kids thrive later in life.
She also creates a warm, safe space where her preschoolers feel comfortable to ask questions and share their thoughts. “I always encourage my babies to speak up and express how they feel. I make sure to really listen.”
Hove said she believes in the power of teamwork. She pairs kids who are doing well with those who might need a little extra help, encouraging friendships and peer support.
“Kids make friends so easily, and that makes learning together even more fun,” she added.
