‘Izotshonians’ play well at hockey festival

Intermediate and senior phases are busy with controlled tests.

The past week was quieter at Izotsha Primary, with the intermediate and senior phases preparing for their upcoming controlled tests.

Netball was played against Suid Natal. The U11A girls lost 1-2. They played exceptionally well, dominating most of the game with some lovely shots at goals, unfortunately just not hitting the mark.

The U13A played an evenly matched game, narrowly losing 4-5 in the last minute. The girls can be proud of how they played and how much they have grown as a team.

The Grades 1-3 girls participated in hockey tournaments at Creston College. They all played well and have shown tremendous growth in their teamwork, as well as their development as individual players. They were good ‘Izotshonians’ and wore their uniforms with pride.

The U11 boys played rugby against Suid-Natal. Despite playing with courage and heart, they narrowly lost their match.

The school is proud of the following boys who participated in the KZN rugby trials last week representing SKZN: Thomas Massey, Brad Apostolides, Jayden Letchki, Callum Heydricks and Jacob Steynberg.

Grade 4-7 learners are writing controlled tests over the next week and a half.
