TRAFFIC officials worked for hours on Thursday to clear the N2 of debris following a fatal multi-vehicle collision between trucks and a light delivery vehicle.
The accident occurred near the Bushlands off-ramp between Mtubatuba and Hluhluwe, with motorists being diverted off the N2, onto the Bushlands exit for much of the day.

According to authorities, two trucks and a panel van were involved in the collision that claimed two lives.
The two who died were reportedly travelling northbound in the panel van, which was transporting chicks.
Traffic official Khosi Maklina said, according to the driver of one of the trucks, the panel van unexpectedly veered out of its lane, heading towards the southbound truck.
Maklina said it is unknown what may have disturbed the driver of the panel van.
“But what is clear is that both trucks tried to avoid the panel van by driving off the road because they ended up crashing into the guard rails,” said Maklina.
