Golfers tee off for charity

Kitty and Puppy Haven is a pro-life sanctuary started in 2000, with the dual purpose of rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming neglected, injured, abused and abandoned animals

The Modderfontein Golf Club hosted a golf day to raise funds for the Kitty and Puppy Haven Charity on November 20.

Kitty and Puppy Haven is a pro-life sanctuary started in 2000, with the dual purpose of rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming neglected, injured, abused and abandoned animals. They also provide primary veterinary care including vaccinations, rabies shots and sterilisations in the local under privileged communities, townships and squatter camps.

Ms Melissa Chewins, a volunteer at Kitty and Puppy Haven, said the charity is in need of donations as they are currently not bringing in enough money from adoptions and donations to cover the monthly expenses.
