The Edenvale Football Club and Olympia FC played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday, April 9.

The two teams met during an intense match at the Edenvale Sports Grounds.

This was the first game in the Eastern Third Division season for both teams. Both goals came as a result of penalties.

“Being the first game of the season, my players are still trying to get used to each other’s style of playing. Even so, it was a close-call match. We had a good game on the day. Even the man of the match came from us. Our mid-fielder, Justin Facer, was the man of the match. He was a brilliant distributor of the ball from the centre,” said Olympia FC coach, Daryl Dyers.

Both teams created lots of chances but failed to convert them.
