The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) last week said the planned march by members of the South African Municipal Workers Union (SAMWU) scheduled for Friday was illegal and unprotected.
According to the brand and communications department of the EMM, the Labour Court declared the planned protest action illegal, unprotected and interdicted both the march and the strike.
