Business activities concerns resident

A Malvern East resident is seeking answers regarding a panel beating business that is operating in a residential area.
The business is situated on Tucker road. “They are running a panel-beating business on their premises, which we are not sure has business rights. We do not have a problem with them working on the premises, our problem is that they work from early morning until late at night, seven days a week,” said the resident, who wished not to be named.
According to the resident, people who come to the panel beating business park their vehicles on the road, which turns a two-lane road into a single road, causing traffic congestion.
“They park their vehicles over the yellow lines right on the curb. They also park in our driveway and block the entrance to our property,” said the resident. She said they had been putting up with this since December, but now the situation is out of hand. “We have spoken to them about the situation before and they promised to address it, but that only lasted a week,” said the resident.
She said her biggest fear is that a major accident could happen on the road.
Comment was requested from the EMPD, but at the time of going to print, no comment had been received.
