Brothers excel at championships

Brothers Tyrone, in grade 11 and Darren Goodes, in grade 9, recently participated in the Gauteng Stillwater Life Saving Championships.

Tyrone, U/17, won nine gold medals and was awarded the Victor Ludorum for gaining the most points in the U/18 age group.

Darren, U/15, won eight gold medals.

They were selected for the Gauteng provincial team, which participated in the South African National Stillwater Life Saving Championships in Bloemfontein from February 25 to March 2.

Results were not available at the time of going to print.

Tyrone and Darren have also rendered life saving community service at open water events.
