Organisations combine for fundraising

“This has been our third annual event and the support has been phenomenal. We are over the moon about the support we received."

The Edenvale Care Centre Hospice and the Human Rhino Foundation hosted a donkey derby and barn dance to raised funds for two charities.

The event was held at the Eastleigh Primary School on Saturday, March 8.

The event organiser, Ms Jackie Allen said, “The event raised money for the Edenvale Care Centre Hospice and the Human Rhino Foundation. We combined our resources and efforts as two organisations to raise the funds. Attendees of the event get the opportunity to bet on the donkey derby race; the winners received half their bets back and all proceedings went to the two organisations. We are splitting proceedings fifty-fifty between the two charities.”

“This has been our third annual event and the support has been phenomenal. We are over the moon about the support we received. We are grateful to Eastleigh Primary School who always comes to the party in support of the Edenvale Care Centre Hospice. I am looking forward to next year and I hope it will be just as big a success,” said Ms Allen.
