SPCA Manager Mr Laurence Kingston found a mother cat with her three newborn kittens placed in a box and dumped in front of the SPCA offices in Germiston on March 17.
A further three male cats were located running around scared in the flower beds and small bushes in front of the offices.
“There is always the danger they will escape and be at risk in the heavy traffic in Driehoek Road. Therefore, if it is after office hours, we urge all community members to contact the SPCA on the after hours number 082 675 0072, or if you can, secure the animals overnight.
“Community members can then bring the animals into our SPCA offices in Junction Road, Driehoek as soon as possible during office and kennel hours between 8am to 4.30pm and Saturdays from 8am to 12pm,” said Mr Kingston.
