Edenvale music festival coming soon
Through the festival, the association hopes to raise funds as well as create an awareness of music among the youth.
The Marshall Music Festival is calling on all aspiring bands to submit their demo videos to stand a chance to perform at the festival on June 28.
One lucky band will also win a recording prize.

A total of four bands will perform on the day with the winner.
The winning band will secure a place to perform at the next Marshall Music Festival as well as a day in the recording studio at the Greenstone branch of Oakfields College.
The four chosen bands will share the stage with South African music legends Just Jinjer, Michael Lowman and The Kiffness.
On June 28, Edenvale High School will host a musical fund raiser like no other.
The school’s Old Scholar’s Association (OSA) has teamed up with Marshall Music to host the event, which is hoped to become a more regular event.
Through the festival, the association hopes to raise funds as well as create an awareness of music among the youth.
Funds raised will be used to improve Edenvale High School as well as less fortunate schools.
OSA member, Mr Nuno Morais, said with help from Marshall Music it is hoped the team can establish a music centre for less fortunate pupils.
One of the bands which will perform on the day is Just Jinjer.
Residents attending the event can also look forward a battle of the bands and a stand a chance to meet professional musicians.
There will also be various school bands performing as well as a flea market, beer tent, dog show and colour festival.
Tickets are already on sale from Edenvale High School at a cost of R150 for adults and R75 for children under 12.
All children under the age of six will have free entrance to the event.
