Police celebrate Youth Month
The Jeppe SAPS celebrated Youth Month in Troyeville recently.
About 1 000 children attended and participated in a sports event organised by the SAPS, Joburg Housing Company, Home Affairs and Old Mutual.
Children enjoyed playing soccer and participating in aerobics events.
Police officers also addressed the youngsters on crime and about the dangers of substance abuse.
“The event went well and most of the youth were interested in becoming members of our Youth Crime Prevention Desk,” said Warrant Officer Richard Munyai, the Jeppe SAPS communications officer.
